As a light rail design engineer I want to produce profiles with a lot of information to be able to check a maximum amount of information on a single document.
On critical information for light rail design is the maximum speed. This is because light rail design has to comply with existing road infrastructure.
So the engineer has to find the best compromise between geometry and possible speed allowed on the geometry.
So the speed is often a result of the design that it is why it is critical to check the speed depending on the geometry.
I would like to be able to annotate the profile (tabular annotation) with 3 informations in 3 separate boxes:
* max speed from horizontal geometry
* max speed from vertical geometry
* max speed of the track (minimum of above)
Civil Product Used | OpenRoads Designer, OpenRail Designer |
I too would value a row in the profile annotation group to include the design speed, ideally presented as numbers at each speed change, or a graph of the speed across the alignment (similar to attachment).
