I want to be able to annotate the names (and item type properties) of utilities on cross sections and profiles.

For example, if there are 10 water pipes that have been surveyed and imported as 3D linear elements they will have unique feature names "Water1, Water2, Water3...."

I want to annotate "Water" (option to take first X characters of feature name via some string expression in the output formatting) on the cross section and profile. There is no way to do this at present. We can only use the full name of the feature such as Water1, Water2, Water3 and there is no way to annotate names of crossing features on profiles (eg profile intersection points cannot be annotated using annotation groups).
