Cross Section Annotation for existing and design terrain models

In the created cross sections for the existing and multiple design terrain (surface), we need to annotate the 1) height difference between the terrain model(s); Also, 2) need to annotate the offset (length) from the point to the cutting line.

This function is available in InRoads. and OpenRoads/OpenSite can only annotate corridor model with terrain models in cros section.

Application area: Site construction and reclamation

Civil Product Used OpenSite Designer, OpenRoads Designer

Another example of how InRoads SS2 had useful functionality that has been stripped away from users in ORD. It does not seem like the modern software developers at Bentley have much interaction with actual Designers/Engineers that are using the products on daily basis. The colorful 3D models are neat to look at, but ORD leaves a lot to be desired in real-world plan production. (Newer is definitely NOT always better.)

It's common for us to have multiple profile/terrains e.g. design finished levels, different construction stages, multiple surveys (different sources, different times), design formation etc. and is a major limitation in ORD for us as we need to include information such as the elevations in the frame while only one survey and one design can currently be included at the moment.

Yes please! Often we don't have a corridor but "only" some (surveyed) terrains and an alignment...but we still needs to be able to create cross sections AND annotate the terrains. In InRoads SS2 we was able to annotate features ind the terrain and crossing triangles
