This would literally save large projects 100s of hours. Plus having points in tables that are ruled eliminates so many chances for errors. Other civil products have had this feature for years. Creating grading points on plans is so easy when tables are automatically updated. Currently we have to create points , create a report , save the report to excel , format the report in excel, paste the spreadsheet into ORD or link to table. If small changes happen users have to manually type in changes. If bulk changes occur users have to go through this whole process again.
Please make this happen, this is kind of a big deal :-)

That may work but the average user is not going to be aware of how item types work. Plus not every user has access to custom feature definitions settings. 99% of workspace dgnlibs are locked down. What I am looking for is an automated Point Table within ORD delivering the data directly to Microstation Tables. This table would automatically update to any point change. Northing, Easting , Elevation etc.... Having to continuously export data out for every little change is a budget killer. Some Roundabouts or site projects have 100s of points.
This already kind of exists. If you make a point Feature Definition called something like "Callout Point" and apply an Item Type, you can do this. You can make the table using the MicroStation table/report commands. The MicroStation report should be able to export to Excel, as well.
However, we don't offer a dedicated tool for doing this.
